2017 Brit Awards Winners and Highlights

The late David Bowie dominated the 2017 Brit Awards which took place at the O2 Arena in London on Wednesday. Aside from the music legend, highly-acclaimed groups like Little Mix and One Direction bagged major awards. Those who were not able to witness the annual ceremony may take a look at some of the event's highlights and see the full list of winners below.

Show stopping performances by the globe's finest artists like Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, Bruno Mars, and Ed Sheeran filled the arena. Meanwhile, X-Factor alums Little Mix opened the 2017 Brit Awards by performing their most successful single so far, "Shout Out to My Ex." The girl group consists of Perrie Edwards, Leigh Anne-Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall won the Best British Single.

More than the entertaining lineup of performers, the 2017 Brit Awards offered a heartwarming tribute to the late George Michael. The former Wham! member turned solo artist passed away on Christmas day last year. The authorities are yet to conclude the reason behind his death.

Wham!'s collaborator Andrew Ridgeley gave a statement along with Helen DeMacque and Shirlie Holliman during the tribute at the 2017 Brit Awards. "George has left for us in his songs, in the transcendental beauty of his voice and the poetic expression of his soul the very best of himself. I loved him, and in turn, we - you - have been loved," quotes MSN.
