BTS 'Not Today' Replaced With TWICE 'Knock Knock' On Big Hit's Website, Indonesian Hackers To Blame
BTS "Not Today" was notably absent in the official site of Big Hit Entertainment and it was replaced with Twice's newest hit "Knock Knock." Reports suggest that the site was hacked. The group behind it decided to replace BTS' song with TWICE's hit track to cause commotion and the Indonesian Cyber Army is supposedly behind it.
TWICE's "Knock Knock" has been getting much attention after the group released teasers for prior to their official launch. On Feb. 22, the BTS track "Not Today" which was in one tab of Big Hit Entertainment website was replaced with the MV for TWICE's "Knock Knock." Reports from news outlets suggest that the site was hacked. However, there are also netizens who suggest that TWICE did this on purpose to increase sales.
Meanwhile, there are also people who believe that this was a deliberate move for both idol groups to start a war between their fans. It seems, however, that both groups are just victims of hackers who wanted to cause a commotion among fans. Another report provided more details about the said cyber attack that caused a major uproar after the main website for Big Hit Entertainment's listing for music videos for "Not Today" and "Knock Knock" was messed up.
TWICE and BTS are trying to compete in achieving various milestones. Both groups just released their albums and they are busy with promoting their songs and guesting on various shows. The tension between the followers of the two idol groups is already heated and when Big Hit's website displayed the video for TWICE's "Knock Knock," a lot of rumors emerged in the web.
Given the latest facts, there were speculations that TWICE fans were behind this attack. There is no confirmation as to the perpetrators of the attack but there are reports that it was a group called IDCA which starts for "Indonesian Cyber Army." BTS website and other subdomains of Big Hit Entertainment were not affected by the attack. The label is yet to release a statement on replacing BTS "Not Today" with TWICE "Knock Knock."
