Descendants of the Sun Inspired Necklace For Sale! Price, Features Here

Descendants of the Sun captured the hearts of many people, most of them might be living in Asia. The famous Korean drama depicted the love story of Yoo Shi-jin and Kang Mo-yeon by a symbol: a necklace. There was a scene wherein the soldier gave it to his lady love and the viewers must have been daydreaming to have one, too.

Although the series have already ended many months ago, it left a special place in the audience's hearts. To keep their love story alive, local jewelry labels Citigems created a replica of the symbol. The company collaborated with Korean celebrity jewelry designer Bjoon Kim for the project.

The team up between the jewel firm and Kim resulted in the exquisite line of jewelry made intentionally for the K-Pop fans. Aside from the necklace, the replica of Jin Goo's (who plays the 2nd male lead in Descendants of the sun) ring is also available as well. 

According to Straits Times, the sun-shaped pendant of the necklace consists of rose gold with 18 small diamonds surrounding the jewel. The necklace weigh a total of 0.18 karats. The item is now available for $438. On the other hand, Goo's replicated ring is a white gold embellished with a diamond that costs $998.

More than the collection from Descendants of the Sun, Kim and Citigems also released a wave of collections inspired by other Korean dramas such as Cinderella and Four Knights. The jewelry designer stated that the pieces of jewelry create a positive feedback overall.

"The Korean wave has gained so much ground with its top stars and romantic dramas. We have received positive feedback from our younger customers, those aged 20 to 30, who love Korean dramas and classic jewelry," she added further.

So far, Descendant of the Sun has been making its way to India through the TV Network Zindagi. Though Times of India did not provide the specific air date, the website assumes that the South Korean blockbuster hit will also be successful in the country.
