'GTA 5 Online' Latest News & Update: Rockstar Hints No Console Characters To PC, Mods To Counter Effect?
"GTA 5 Online" players will now be given access to a new set of discounts, including Valentine's Day content. Aside from these, two new maps are also added to the Adversary Mode. A new Liberty City Map expansion is also expected.
Software engineer for "GTA 5 Online" Yuriy Krivouchko announces the plan to include Liberty City to the current map, while also preventing some legal issues with Rockstar Games. Krivouchko further revealed that the new mod will have to load in a copy of the "GTA IV" that the players already own in order to add the massive new landmass.
The "GTA 5 Online" new project is aimed at creating tools for the modding community to enjoy. With the help of the new Liberty City mod, Krivouchko believes that it would be easier to develop a base for other mods. The players are also expected to expand Liberty City with their own content, including some activities or missions.
"GTA 5 Online" is believed to become better with the conversion of a map from one game to another, though Krivouchko admits that this a huge task that entails a lot of challenges. Meantime, the new Liberty City map mod is set for release in Spring, TNH Online reported.
"GTA 5" cheats are believed to be targeted by Rockstar Games, as the studio hopes to extend the free update plans for the popular mode this year. This could mean that the game studio is likely set to end transfers altogether, suggesting that characters will not be ported any more from console to the PC.
However, "GTA 5" players have reportedly not stopped experimenting offline, as modding the game is considered as cheating by the studio. In fact, a user named MrMarco1003 has put together a The Lion King Pack for "GTA 5", adding a list of characters from the animated movie, Express reported.
