Lindsay Lohan Shares Her Dream Of Singing Again -- On The 'Little Mermaid' Reboot. Also, On Pushing 'Mean Girls' Sequel

The troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has been quiet for a long time, however, it seemed like she's making noise through her social account. Apparently, the 30-year-old shared her sentiments about wanting to star in another Disney classic, "The Little Mermaid".


On Sunday, Lindsay Lohan shared a photo on her Instagram account showing her hopes of playing Ariel in a potential live-action remake of the hit Disney fairytale.


"I will sing again, as #ariel #thelittlemermaid," Lilo had captioned on a photo of her together with the beloved red-haired mermaid. @disney approve that. #billcondon directs it along with my sister @alianamusic singing the theme song for the soundtrack." "Also @kgrahamsfb plays Ursula," the "Rumor" singer continued. "Simply because, she is the best. Take one. @disneystudios."

However, it wasn't long until Lindsay Lohan had it edited, therefore simply reading it as "#thelittlemermaid."

It was no secret how Lohan had wanted to play Ariel as it is her dream role. Meanwhile, according to ET, Broadway star Lin-Manuel Miranda had mentioned that he was in "super-early talks" about the remake last year.


"The Little Mermaid" is not the only classic, famous movie in Lindsay Lohan's mind. After thirteen years of Mean Girls hitting the big screen, she told ABC's "Te View" about her desire to make the remake a possibility.


"I went to SNL the other day and I was like, harassing Lorne Michaels," Lohan shared on her TV appearance, one Monday morning. "I'm like, 'We have to do [it]. I'll write the treatment -- if Tina Fey's too busy."


Recently, Lindsay Lohan had created a small buzz about her activism works in Turkey that involved Syrian refugees. She shared about several hardships that come along when working with children but also revealed about the new sense of purpose that she is experiencing.


"I'm in such a different place in my work life and headspace, and I have the time now where I can go and do some good," Lohan said. "I can get on the ground and see what's happening, and draw attention to it in a positive way to bring people awareness."
