"Goblin" actress Kim Go Eun embraced her own uniqueness and spoke of women's inherent beauty after bashing incident when haters criticized her looks. The 25-year-old actress, who recently took down her selfie post on social media after being bashed for her looks, now championed women's beauty and spoke about upholding a positive mindset over outward appearance.
Kim Go Eun was confidently beautiful and even showed some heart as she posed for "Elle" magazine with the concept "Yes! We are Women!" "Women are beautiful just by existing," AllKpop quoted the actress as saying during the photoshoot. "I think there's a beauty to every age that's so clear. You get a rock and then cut it again and again to make it a shiny jewel, and I think the process women go through as they age is so beautiful."
The star, popularly known for her portrayal of the goblin's bride in the hit series "Goblin," also shared her personal outlook when it comes to being beautiful. "I have something I hope for myself, and it's that I always have a healthy mindset. It's actually hard to keep," admitted Kim Go Eun.
She deleted a selfie post on Instagram earlier this month after a flurry of hateful comments criticizing her looks flooded her social media account. The bashers called her "ugly," a "toad" and "too plain" while the actress' fans praised her for her natural and genuine beauty in contrast to the beautiful celebrities who have gone under plastic surgery.
"It'd be nice to be beautiful on the outside, too, but I think if I set a beauty standard and try to fit myself to it, I will be worn down because it'll go against my own uniqueness. I believe that everyone has their different beauty," said Kim Go Eun, who spoke like she's gained some wisdom after the ugly incident. Just like her "Goblin" role where her romantic partner was way older than her, Kim Go Eun is currently in a relationship with 42-year-old fellow actor and label mate Shin Ha Kyun.
