BTS Sets New Kpop Record, ‘Spring Day’ MV Reaches 10 Million Views At Record Pace
BTS is on a roll with the Kpop boy band's new track "Spring Day." Recently, the music video for the said song broke through the 10 million view count mark in record breaking time.
BTS delighted avid fans with the release of the K-pop group's new song titled "Spring Day," as well as the South Korean band's new album "You Never Walk Alone." Barely two days after the "Spring Day" music video was uploaded on YouTube, the said music clip already reached an impressive feat.
The said music video was viewed more than 10 million times, All Kpop reported. It even gained more than 1 million likes on the said video streaming site.
Given the recent achievement of BTS' "Spring Day" music video, the Kpop group broke its own record and even set a new milestone in the South Korean music industry, according to Soompi. BTS' music clip for "Blood Sweat and Tears" was lauded for having the most number of views within 24 hours of its release.
With a view count of 6.34 million posted within the first day of its October 2016 release, the "Blood Sweat and Tears" music video held the record for highest viewership numbers by a Kpop group. Compared to the "Spring Day" music video, the clip was viewed 9.44 million times within 24 hours of its debut.
Meanwhile, BTS' new track also achieved several milestones during its release. "Spring Day" topped eight South Korean charts that included Mnet, Olleh, Melon and more. It's popularity even resulted to temporary server issues experienced by Melon given the high number of fans wanting to hear the said song.
Moreover, "Spring Day" also became the first K-pop group track to enter the U.S. iTunes Top 10 singles chart. "Spring Day" nabbed the eighth spot on the said music list, while one of BTS' new songs "Not Today" landed on number 11.
