A recent survey about Korea's most talented TV writer, screenwriter Kim Eun Sook had received more than half of the 30 votes. Based on TV reports, the "Lovers In Paris" writer had received 19 votes in total from writers and entertainment industry professionals, which means that she has clearly taken the top spot.
Kim Eun Sook is known for her star-studded credentials which include "Secret Garden", "Goblin", "The Heirs", and the latest Korean hit series, "Descendants of the Sun". A staggering 22.05% has been marked on as her average viewer ratings on her works. Most of the Korean dramas and other shows as only dreaming of hitting this number, but Kim Eun Sook has easily taken the spot.
According to Koreaboo, 13 out of 19 voters have chosen "Goblin" when asked about her best work. They say that Kim Eun Sook's "Goblin" is perfect in every aspect such as the dialogue, the characters, the execution, and the overall story itself. "Goblin" has perfectly shown a story that lived only in the imagination while incorporating the significance of life and death through the story of Gong Yoo, the 939-year-old Goblin who is searching for Kim Go Eun, his bride. The writers complimented her recent work and even mentioned that despite all her wonderful works that became hits, this one is regarded as her life's piece.
The entire voting panel commended Kim Eun Sook's progress as a writer, going away from her typical writing style of romance while putting more stress on the narrative part of the story. "She has perfected her narrative she wanted to tell while maintaining her merits that she has shown in her previous works," one of Kim Eun Sook's voter said.
