Kim Tae Hee Reveals How Rain Proposed And Living With In-Laws
Newlywed actress Kim Tae Hee revealed how pop star Rain proposed to her and how it's like to live with her in-laws.
One of the most beautiful actresses in South Korea recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Sports Seoul where Kim Tae Hee opened up details behind the celebrity couple's private wedding, Rain's marriage proposal and the newlyweds' current set-up.
The newlyweds tied the knot January 19 at a Catholic church in Seoul after the couple announced their wedding plans to the public just a couple of days earlier.
The 36-year-old actress revealed that they've been mulling over at least two ways on how to break the news since last year.
"We could announce it to the media and invite everyone that we knew to a large-scale wedding, or we could hold a top secret wedding and reveal the photos afterward," Koreaboo quoted Kim Tae Hee as saying.
In the end, the couple decided with the latter as they considered the country's current economic turmoil. Media later revealed just how much Rain and Kim Tae Hee spent for their wedding.
Reports also hailed Rain and Kim Tae Hee as the country's wealthiest real-estate owners.
Rain announced their wedding plans through a handwritten letter to his fans shared on social media and referred to Kim Tae Hee as his best present.
His comeback track "Best Present" also turned out to be his way of proposing to his girlfriend of four years.
"I was proposed to on the day of my wedding," revealed Kim Tae Hee. "At the banquet reception, [Rain] sang 'The Best Present' for me. That was his proposal."
The couple is currently living with Rain's father's family while they're still looking for their own newlywed home.
"Since we're living with my father-in-law's family, I'm cautious in revealing this information because people might ask me, 'Aren't you suffering by living with your in-laws?'" she said. "But my father-in-law is a very generous man. We are planning to stay at their home until we can find our own newlywed home. I like it."
