Apple Opens Up About AI

Although it has not yet been made official, but it seems that Apple is about to announce that it will be joining the partnership on the AI project, a research group dedicated to artificial intelligence experts including Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Microsoft.

This organization was established in September and since then, the situation indicated that companies had partnered for the development of artificial intelligence. This seed of AI can potentially add many other organizations that are working towards the development of AI systems, including IBM. Apple has not shown signs of following the path in the past, but now its efforts lean towards taking part and contributing this joint venture to push technology to further horizons.
Apple could get out of its usual secrecy

Neither Twitter nor Intel or Baidu is, for example, in the ranks of Partnership for AI, but Apple is considered as one of the most prominent entities in the technology arena, especially in the smartphone segment. Apple has a solid reputation for being a pioneer of innovative technology and taking it to new levels. The Siri voice assistant was one of the pioneering features of the company which is, in fact, conducive to making possible joint efforts towards AI technology.

Apple seemed to want to keep a low profile in its research in the area of artificial intelligence. A month that was made public for the first time makes a report on IA of the company, but their intentions in this area were clear with hiring professionals in 2015 and the purchase of several companies related to this field last year.

The Partnership on AI aims to "conduct research, recommend best practices and publish these investigations under an open license ." The public will see if Apple finally confirms that it joins this project, and what the impact of that collaboration is, in some time.
