The South Korean president, Park Geun-hye, against last December 1 began impeachment, used in many mobile cases registered foreign names, a practice that violates national legislation, as has testified Thursday one of its ex-secretaries.

Jeong Ho-seong stated in the Constitutional Court as part of the case of influence peddling focused on the president and his friend Choi Soon-sil, according to Yonhap.

"We do not use mobile phones registered to our names because we worry that they can intercept our talks," said the former secretary, who added that Park did so even before his presidential term began when he was a lawmaker.

South Korea prohibits the use of mobile outside for many purposes, and the violation of this law is punishable by up to three years in prison or a fine of up to 100 million won ($ 85,000).

When asked if Park was aware that his cell phone was registered to another name, Jeong said it is likely that the president will use any phone that will be given, although he denied that he was the friend of the president, who had a great influence On her, who ordered the use of those mobiles.

Choi is accused of abusing her ties to the president to extort money from conglomerates and intervene in state affairs. Parliament approved the 'impeachment against the president for allegedly delegating state functions in her friend.

A Jeong has accused Choi for filtration of classified documents, which he confessed claiming that his intention was to help the president.

The former secretary said he used a foreign mobile phone to contact Choi, making two or three calls a day or through messages between January 2013 and December 2014.

Park Geun-hye is immune to the persecution as long as he maintains his position. The Constitutional Court must determine until early June whether it supports or dismisses the dismissal.
