Niantic has had numerous calls for changes, gameplay recommendations, and update release suggestions. However, a new recommendation from a gaming enthusiast has suggested a reasonable launch date for the highly anticipated "Pokemon Go" Gen 2 Pokemon update: March 21st.

Why March 21st?

According to Forbes contributor David Thier, there is no better time to roll out the new "Pokemon Go" Gen 2 Pokemon update than the first day of Spring 2017, that is March 21. The reason behind is simple: a lot of people would love to go out on the first day of Spring. Most likely, more players will be hyped up to go out in the sun and look for Pokemon.

New Update Hints on Gen 2 Pokemon

The latest "Pokemon Go" update seems to be hinting that Gen 2 Pokemon are on the way. While the update provided new moves, evolution items, minor fixes, and the power to view Eggs through the Apple Watch, there's evidence of the Gen 2 expansion hiding behind the codes.

The Silph Road miners pointed out that the new moves seem to be setting the stage for the arrival of Gen 2 Pokemon into the "Pokemon Go" database soon. Niantic has yet to address the new information.

The Wait Continues

Niantic isn't the type of developer to drop a lot of hints preceding the release of a new game or a new expansion to an existing title. Fans are still speculating and wondering when Gen 2 Pokemon will make a glorious entry into "Pokemon Go."

David Thier's suggestion of a March 21 release for Gen 2 Pokemon is a reasonable commendation. While fans are particularly taking note of this suggestion, the last say will always be on the developer.

"Pokemon Go" Server Goes Down

In other news, fans complained on Thursday that they couldn't log in to their apps. Niantic has acknowledged the issue and announced that the team is working on a fix to give access to "Pokemon Go" players. According to GameSpot, Niantic has now fixed the problems and fans can start playing the game again.
