'Pokemon Go' Update 2017 News: New Moves Discovered By Miners As First Update For 2017 Rolls Out
Niantic has been quiet over the past couple of weeks following the big December update that fans received. However, miners continued to dig their way into the details that could potentially come with upcoming "Pokemon Go" updates.
"Pokemon Go" New Update Mined
Miners over on The Silph Road apparently came up with new information on what fans should expect of the latest "Pokemon Go" update. The gaming enthusiasts discovered that there are new moves in "Pokemon Go" version 1.23.1 (iOS) and version 0.53.1 (Android). Though Niantic has not responded to the latest reveal from mining fans, most of the mined information over the past years have proven to be true.
New Moves and Skills
Some of the new moves that miners unearthed include: Air Slash, Struggle Bug, Charge Beam, Fire Spin, Iron Tail, Infestation, Zap Cannon, Silver Wind, Dynamic Punch, and more. The miners also revealed that there could be new content in the new expansion including Evolution items.
Other Fixes
Meanwhile, BGR notes that the first "Pokemon Go" update for this year will fix minor text issues that fans have previously complained of. The Apple Watch has also been updated. Eggs that were obtained from PokeStops will now appear on Apple Watch devices.
What Could be Behind Niantic's Latest Move?
As for the new tracking changes that came with the "Pokemon Go" update, it is believed that the new moves have been introduced for a special reason. According to The Daily Express, the tracking changes will possibly make it even more difficult to hatch Pokemon eggs this time. Niantic may have decided to roll out new moves and skills to make up for the new tracking issues that fans will most likely point out in the long run.
Latest Expansion May Hint on Gen 2 Pokemon
The newly rolled out "Pokemon Go" update is believed to have dropped some evidence on the presence of Gen 2 Pokemon. With new moves unveiled, fans are expecting to get new Gen 2 Pokemon in the near future.
"Pokemon Go" is playable in Android and iOS devices.
