Pacific Rim: Uprising

With the released images, the "Pacific Rim: Uprising" is really on its way to hit the big screen next year. To be released on February 23rd of 2018, "Pacific Rim: Uprising" features a new protagonist as they introduce John Boyega from the movie Star Wars: Force Awaken.

The sequel to the movie of the same title is now in the production set in Australia. Gamer Zone confirmed that the upcoming movie is now filming as the images were posted in the social media.

Starring John Boyega, the movie will revolve around the events after the first movie. Fans may notice that Boyega wears the new Jaeger Pilot Suit with a new design.

According to the GameSpot, compared to the previous movie's pilot suit, the new Jaeger Pilot Suit now consists of spandex with some plate designs. Reports show that the previous suit version heavier due to its hard parts, resulting in an inconvenience to the wearer.

Recently, the film was led to a controversy where the movie was almost gone for a cancellation. Following that is the issue about Guillermo Del Toro's quitting as a producer and said that Steven DeKnight will be taking over as the producer and director at the same time. Fortunately, the issue has been addressed and everyone went back to its feet.

Moving forward, the "Pacific Rim: Uprising" is now in the process of its production and is currently filming. With John Boyega as the lead star, it seems that Del Toro is serious enough to make the film a better franchise.

The new film had a previous title, "Pacific Rim: Maelstrom," which was eventually replaced by the Uprising during the process. Recurring cast such as Charlie Day and Rinko Kikuchi will be reprising their roles and will be working along with the new stars Scott Eastwood and Zhang Jin.
