Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Ready For Launch; Unit Skipping Android Lollipop?
Sony is expected to launch the flagship series, which are the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium and Xperia Z5 Compact on a special event in India on October 21. The company displayed the world's first 4-K smartphone at the IFA event, according to The Indian Express.
Similar with the Sony Xperia Z5's specifications, the Z5 Premium has a bigger battery of 3430 mAh while the Z5 Compact has 2GB RAM, 4.6-inch HD screen and a 2700 mAh for the battery and the rest of its specifications are identical as the two smartphones. Sony Xperia Z5 series has 23 mp for the rear camera and five mp on the front and available to both single and dual-SIM feature.
The smartphones will skip the android Lollipop update and will go straight to Android 6.0 Marshmallow including the Sony Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 tablet, the Xperia C4, C5 Ultra, M4 Aqua, M5 and more, reported on Geeky Gadgets. Sony didn't provide any certain dates about the roll out however the company will be giving updates about the Android 6.0 for their devices, according to Xperia Blog. In this case, the users and owners need to wait 'til next year to enjoy the new Android version and this firmware was seen on Telstra's software roadmap.
The Sony Xperia Z5 is being compared to Samsung Galaxy S6 and other different devices starting from the physical features up to every small specifications. It has a frosted finished glass that makes the device to be scratch free for "clumsy" users.
