Big Bang, Black Pink, and Sechskies To Attend '2016 SBS Gayo Daejun'!
So it has been confirmed! Big Bang, Black Pink, and Sechskies are confirmed to perform during '2016 SBS Gayo Daejun'!
After YG Entertainment's announcement just before '2016 MAMA' that the label's artists are not attending the said event, fans are very heartbroken. In fact, the viewer's ratings of '2016 MAMA' decreased by more than half compared to last year. Fans have pointed out that the very low rating this year's MAMA was able to record was due to the absence YG Family artists.
YG Entertainment, however, clarified that not being able to attend this year's MAMA is due to a conflict of schedules and not because of other issues.
Fortunately, the label has just announced that Big Bang, Black Pink, and Sechskies are confirmed to attend '2016 SBS Gayo Daejun'. The announcement made a lot of fans truly excited.
'SBS Gayo Daejun' is a major annual end-of-the-year music program. It was set to take place from December 22 to 26 at the Coex in Seoul.
The said music program started in 1997 and run until 2007. It came back on 2014 as a part of SBS' Awards Festival.
Big Bang is probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest, groups YG Entertainment handles right now. They debuted on 2006 and had been on the label for 10 years now. They are, in fact, releasing a full album this month to celebrate their 10th year anniversary.
Sechskies (also known as 6KIES) was launched by Daesung Entertainment on 1997. The group, however, signed with YG Entertainment May this year.
The rookie girl group, Black Pink, was formed by YG Entertainment just this August. They officially debuted on August 8, 2016, with their single album 'Square One'.
The label also handles other artists like Jinusean, Epik High, Akdong Musician, WINNER, and iKON.
