Lee Sang Yup on BoA’s acting.

On a recent interview, Lee Sang Yup shared his thoughts on BoA's acting. The two worked together in a recently ended JTBC drama 'This Week, My Wife is Cheating'.

"Scriptwriter Kwon (the name of BoA's character) and I comfortably did well together. I even depended on her and was touched by her professionalism. I felt that she really prepared hard. She's a friend with great energy so she stirred a good vibe on set," Lee Sang Yup said.

Lee Sang Yup had nothing but praises for the singer. The drama proved that BoA is not just a very talented K-Pop idol, she's a very good actress, as well.

"I had trouble holding in my laughter but scriptwriter Kwon held it in good. She also didn't have any NGs. Also, I felt like I was able to see a clear depiction of what I had to do because she had an exact, clear understanding of scriptwriter Kwon's character. It made me think, 'I should act this way since she is doing this'," Lee Sang Yup added.

BoA is deemed as the Queen of K-Pop. She started in 2000 and two years after her debut in Korea, she made another breakthrough in Japan. She became the very first Korean pop star to have made a debut in Japan following the fall of barriers that had restricted the import and export of entertainment between the countries since the end of World War II.

'This Week, My Wife is Cheating' is BoA's first main role in a drama. And she was proving to everybody that she's not just a good singer, she can act very well, as well. The drama helped her overcame the usual stereotype on idol actors.

'This Week, My Wife is Cheating' ended last December 3, 2016.
