Gwen Stefani's New Song 'Used To Love You' Premiered; 'The Voice' Judge Busy With Solo And Band Releases

American singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani debuts "Used to Love You" via live performance as surprise for her fans and music lovers alike according to Billboard.

Gwen Stefani's latest song is the singer's first release after she announced her divorce from her husband Gavin Rossdale. She performed the song at MasterCard Priceless Surprises concert last Saturday, Oct. 17 at Hemmersetin Ballroom in New York.

According to fans, her newest song is filled with emotional words. "I don't know why I cry/But I think it's cause I remember for the first time/Since I hated you/That I used to love you," the first part of the chorus read, according to the source.

The singer initially teased via Twitter that her next song will be her solo single - saying that her latest work is "really special" - with release date not yet revealed to the public. Stefani, 46, addresses the crowd onstage before her performance, "I just want to share a song that I wrote recently."

Towards the later part of the song. "There were no boundaries / But you just pushed me too far/ I guess nobody taught you / Nobody taught you how to love," Stefani sung. 

Gwen Stefani's "Used to Love You" is described to have a similar theme to No Doubt's song "Dreaming the Same Dream" from their 2012 album "Push and Shove" where she sings the lyrics "How many times can a promise be broken? Who taught you how to love?" according to a report from Rolling Stone.

She singer and currently "The Voice" judge previously collaborated with Eminem for the song "Kings Never Die" which was used for the movie "Southpaw." Her last release prior to "Used to Love You" was "Spark the Fire" dated December last year, which she co-wrote with Pharrell Williams.

At present, Gwen Stefani is working both on her solo and No Doubt album, with the rock band being speculated to come back in the scene after their recent live performances this year.
