Pentagon is making enough buzz for a rookie group! With only three weeks after the group's debut, Pentagon's debut MV 'Gorilla' hits 2 million views already. That is quite impressive for a group who just started in the business.
Pentagon (also known as PGT) is an all boy group formed by Cube Entertainment. The group has 10 members namely Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, E'Dawn, Shinwon, Yan Ah, Yeo One, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok. They are products of the Mnet survival show 'Pentagon Maker' and were introduced as a group on October 10, 2016, through their self-titled mini-album. And with Pentagon's debut MV 'Gorilla' hits 2 million views, it is quite obvious that fans are really anticipating their debut on the K-Pop world. It looks like the group already earned a fan base this early.
It was December 2015 when Cube Entertainment announced that they are launching a new boy group in mid-2016. Four months after, April 26, 2016, Cube revealed the new group's name, Pentagon, to the public along with the trailer, 'Come Into The World'. Through Mnet's reality-program 'Pentagon Maker', the final line up for the group members was decided.
The participants were judged based on five aspects: Performance, Dance, Teamwork, Talent, and Mind. At the end of the show, the final members to join the group were confirmed. They were Hui, Yeo One, Kino, Wooseok, and Yuto. However, before the group officially had their debut, it was announced that E'Dawn, Shinwon, and Yan An, were joining the group. They were previously eliminated during the search but will be joining the group after all, making Pentagon a 10-member boy group. Their self-titled mini-album, which was officially released on October 10, 2016, was composed of 7 tracks. And with Pentagon's debut MV 'Gorilla' hits 2 million views, it looks like the group's debut is a huge success.
