BTS Thanks ARMYs for the Success of 'Wings'
Following the announcement that BTS ranked 26th on the Billboard Top 200 chart in the United States for their 2nd album titled "Wings," which makes then the most successful K-pop group on the Billboard chart and second-best for an Asian group, BTS members thanked their loyal fans for the numerous success that they are having now.
A report from allkpop stated that the group expressed their gratitude to the fans saying, "We are infinitely thankful for ARMYs everywhere."
In a recent interview with OSEN, BTS leader Rap Monster said, "The fact that we broke records as a Korean group on one of the two main charts of Billboard - no matter how many times someone tells us, it is something that does not feel real. We are infinitely thankful for ARMYs everywhere who listen and watch us, move their hearts, and respond to us."
Another member, Suga, added by saying, "It feels surreal to be on the Billboard chart that I had only dreamed of. It is not because we did well but because our fans gave us a lot of affection. I want to thank our fans."
Aside from ranking in the Billboard Top 200 chart, BTS also ranked No. 1 on the Billboard "Social 50" chart on Tuesday.
According to the K-pop entertainment website allkpop, Billboard "Social 50" is "a popularity chart that ranks the most active musical artists on the world's leading social networking services. It measures the artists' social media metrics by 'Next Big Sound,' which provides analytics for online music."
BTS was joined by other international artists including Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Drake, and others.
BTS and each of the members are some of the K-pop idols that have a lot of followers in social media. They also consistently communicate with their fans through Twitter and Instagram. Fans love it when the members post funny photos, selfies, and even some behind-the-scene photos of their numerous activities. BTS also have their own YouTube channel BANGTANTV.
