A lucky Indian winner took home Pixel XL phone. Google Pixel and Pixel XL were reported have unlockable bootloaders?

Every weekend, Android Authority is giving away a new Android phone or tablet. On Sunday, Oct. 16, Sanjeev V. from India won the Pixel XL phone. The winner was announced on the official website of the publication.

The giveaway operated by Android Authority is an international giveaway. They are not also responsible for lost shipments, and even prize malfunctions. Only 1 entry per person is allowed.

Google Pixel smartphone sports a vibrant 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, and runs on Snapdragon 821 processor. It has 4GB of RAM, and a 2.770 mAh battery, with all-new 12MP Pixel camera with phase detection and laser autofocus.

What makes Google Pixel XL different from Google Pixel is that it sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display. Google Pixel XL also runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. Aside, from that, it has fingerprint- and smudge-resistant oleophobic coating.

While many people are curious to get the Google Pixel, there has been growing concerns among Android users regarding this device. According to some reports, Google Pixel (and also Google XL) may be less friendly to developers.

To ease the fear, Google announced that both Google Pixel and Pixel XL have unlockable bootloaders. This means that they can be rooted with notifications, Slash Gear reported.

In other related news, Google Pixel may trigger Apple fans to switch into a new brand because of a "killer feature." On Oct. 20, Google is expected to dispatch pre-orders.

The tech giant is very hopeful with its Google Pixel that it could convince Apple users to switch. One of the features of Pixel is a unique adaptor that allows data to be transferred from the iPhone to this Android smartphone, according to Express UK.
