3-Day K-Beauty Expo Kicks Off at KINTEX

On Thursday, the major beauty trade show in South Korea opens to introduce the latest makeup and beauty trends. The event also supports local companies to be known in the global market.

An article from Korea Herald stated that the eight K-Beauty Expo will run for three days at KINTEX, located in Goyang, north of Seoul. The event will present 450 companies and is expected to attract overseas buyers and experts in different beauty sectors.

KINTEX, together with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, hosted the event to push and advertise the beauty industry of the country. South Korea's beauty industry has quickly expanded its present in the global market due to innovative products and the popularity of the Korean pop culture.

This year, the trade show will highlight a wide variety of beauty products that includes skincare, makeup, hair and body care products, and fitness and health products.

The event's organizer also stated that there is a growing number of small and medium-sized companies that take part in the trade show this year,

KINTEX stated, "This year's K-Beauty Expo gathered the largest number of buyers at home and abroad, which is expected to contribute to the South Korean beauty industry. We will present the hottest trends of the Korean beauty industry in a creative way."

The event will also showcase business-to-business sessions where around 200 buyers from 34 countries such as China, Russia, the United States, and Southeast Asian nations participate.

KINTEX also stated that it will expand help for B2B consultation sessions to associate local companies with overseas buyers in order to boost their chances of getting contracts during and after the said trade show.

The exhibition has reportedly attracted more attention over the past few years due to the strong demands for Korean beauty products. Global market researcher Euromonitor International said that the beauty and personal care market of South Korea are anticipated to reach $12 billion in terms of retail sales this year.
