BTS' Rap Monster to Halt Activities Due to Health Concerns
BTS' (Bangtan Boys) leader Rap Monster will take a break from his activities due to a health issue, and this was confirmed by the idol's agency, Big Hit Entertainment on September 30.
In a report, allkpop released the official statement from the label regarding the current health condition of its artist. The statement reads:
"Hello, this is Big Hit Entertainment. We are here to inform that BTS member Rap Monster will not be able to perform at 'K-Pop World Festival' taking place today in Changwon.
Back on the 29th, Rap Monster, who was focusing on the new choreography practice for the comeback for the 2nd album, was sent to orthopedics as he felt pain. The expert recommended he control himself from any excessive activity because it can lead to stress fracture.
There were no other concerns found in the X-ray and his knees and other parts were generally in good condition. In order to improve the symptoms, he will be regularly receiving physical therapy. As the symptoms were discovered at an early stage, the doctor claimed that he will be able to recover after a break. In consideration of the doctor's statement, Rap Monster will be taking a break to focus on his condition, so he can make a healthy comeback.
Rap Monster were not able to participate in the performance scheduled on Saturday, but the other members of BTS joined the event. In addition, the other six members without Rap Monster attended 'Busan One Festival' on October 1.
"We apologize to those fans who greatly looked forward to BTS' performance at 'K-Pop World Festival' and 'Busan One Festival'. All members of BTS will be greeting fans bright and healthy during their comeback promotions."
Fans left comments such as "My angel get better, you always get hurt," "Poor baby. I hope he gets a lot of rest," and more.
