Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo Make Fans Cry After Airing Episode 11

Fans of the South Korean drama "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" have felt the extreme and heavy drama during the airing of episode 11 on Tuesday.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo has currently aired a total of 11 episodes starting August 29. It is based on the novel from China entitled "Bu Bu Jing Xin" written by Tong Hua. It is directed by Kim Kyu-Tae and starring popular actors in South Korea including Lee Joon-gi, Kang Ha-neul, Nam Joo-hyuk, Ji Soo, Byun Baekhyun, Hong Jong-hyun, and the female lead actress, IU.

The drama is a story about a girl named Hae Soo (IU) who traveled back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty where she meets the Wang family's princes. The love story begins when Hae Soo falls in love to the 4th prince Wang So (Lee Joon-gi).

In the latest episode aired last Tuesday, Fans have expressed their emotions about the heavy scenes that happened in the episode 10 and episode 11 of the drama. On the episode 11, Wang So drank the poison in order to save the lives of Hae Soo and the Crown Prince.

However, Princess Yeon Hwa also drank the poison which made the situation more complicated. Hae Soo was brought to prison and accused of poisoning the Crown Prince with the punishment of death through hanging. Wang Wook can't do anything to save Hae Soo because his sister, Yeon Hwa was involved in the plan of poisoning the Crown Prince. Court Lady Oh, saved Hae Soo from the death punishment by talking to the King and offering her life instead of Hae Soo. Wang Wook turned his back from Hae Soo and Hae Soo just said "Why?" while Wang So was beside her and protecting her.

Fans and viewers of the drama are already anticipating the next episode, which is the 12th episode that will air on October 3. Many are wondering what will happen to the relationship of Hae Soo and Wang Wook. And will it be the start of a good relationship between Hae Soo and Wang So.

Recently, the historical drama was reported to reach about one billion views in Youku, a Chinese streaming site. Currently, it is one of the most talked shows in Asia. According to Hello Kpop, the popularity of Moon Lovers also traveled in Malaysia and Singapore garnering a 73 percent rating among the four entertainment channels in South Korea.

"Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" airs at SBS channel every Monday and Tuesday 22:00 KST. The drama is set to air a total of 20 episodes and to be replaced by the drama entitled "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" this November 2016.
