Gwen Stefani Addresses Engagement to Blake Shelton Rumors
In an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres last Thursday, September 22nd, the host had her good friend Gwen Stefani on her talk show. She first asked about the singer's tour, The Voice co-judge Adam Levine's newborn baby Dusty Rose and what it was like be back on the set of The Voice with her boyfriend, country crooner Blake Shelton.
While the two haven't event announced their engagement yet, it was back in August when TMZ reported that Shelton and Stefani were getting hitched. Sources said they even hired Jerri Woolwirth, a famous celebrity wedding planner to help them start planning their nuptials.
Woolwirth, according to her website is a "known over-the-top events planned for and attended by some of the world's most famous and elite personalities". She has planned events for the NHL, NFL, CMAs and event sizes that ranged from 15 to 15,000 people.
The "Used to Love You" singer's response to DeGeneres was just giggles while shaking her head saying "You're crazy!", although she promised to let the talk show host know the date in the future.
Rumors erupted saying that Shelton, 40, is planning to propose to Stefani, 46, on their upcoming trip to Mammoth Lakes California or in Aspen, Colorado.
Both of the singers' friends are very confident that the engagement will be happening very soon. One source said, "Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, though. Gwen is very, very happy with Blake. She always acts giddy when she talks about Blake."
Stefani just finalized her divorce to rock star Gavin Rossdale after 13 years of marriage telling Cosmopolitan Magazine that she "went through months and months of torture" before ending her marriage to Rossdale whom she has three children with.
Shelton was previously married to his high school sweetheart Kaynette Williams and country singer Miranda Lambert.
Shelton and Stefani started dating last November while filming Season 9 of NBC's "The Voice". They helped tend each other's broken hearts while making beautiful music together. The couple performed their duet, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" in Shelton's tour kickoff in Oklahoma City last September 9 and 10.
