Superman of South Korea: 28-Year Old Man Dies For Saving 20 Lives
A 28-year old South Korean man is considered as the Superman of South Korea and a hero after risking his own life in order to save 20 lives.
A building located in the small villa in Mapo which housed around 21 people was caught on fire last September 21. According to the authorities, the 28-year old man was named Ahn Chi Beom. He was the only person awake and able to escape the building during the midst of fire. But in the video captured by the closed-circuit television (CCTV), Ahm was seen re-entering the building in order to wake up the 20 remaining tenants inside the building and to evacuate them from the burning building that time.
The 20 tenants was evacuated from the burning building safely but Ahn Chi Beom was found unconscious in the floor due to the too much smoke he inhaled going back and forth of the burning building. Ahn was immediately brought to the hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away on September 22 even the doctors did their best in order to revive him.
According to some sources, Ahn Chi Beom's dream is to become a voice actor someday. Many netizens are inspired by his heroic deed so he is currently praised as "the voice actor who used his voice to do the most amounts of good".
"I was partially mad at my son for not taking care of himself before others but as I let him go I told him, 'good work, I am proud of my son, you are a better person than your father and mother' and complimented him," Ahn Chi Beom's mother said.
