IU Releases New Song For Her 8th Anniversary Celebration
IU releases a new song for the celebration of her 8th Anniversary debut as a singer.
The singer's newly released song is dedicated to her fans to thank them for their continuous support throughout the years of IU's career as a singer and actress.
Lee Ji-Eun in real life or popularly known as IU, is a singer-songwriter and actress in South Korea. She became a trainee singer under LOEN Entertainment in 2007. At the age of 15, IU already has a min-debut album entitled "Lost and Found." In 2009, she already released her first album entitled "Growing Up," followed by her trach "Marshmallow", "Jansori", and "Jongeun Nal"(Good Day) which lead her to stardom and resulted to her increasing popularity in the Korean Music Industry and even all over the world.
IU also explored the Korean drama world through her acting skills. Some of the Korean dramas where she played some lead roles are: Dream High, Dream High 2, Salamander Guru and The Shadow Operation Team, You Are the Best, Bel Ami, and The Producers. Currently, IU plays the lead role in the newly released drama "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" where she plays the role of Hae Soo, a girl who time traveled back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty where she met the Wang family's Princes.
IU won Special awards like "Best New Actress" and "Best Couple Award" award in 2013 at KBS Drama Awards for her drama "You Are The Best" and "Bel Ami."
On the other hand, IU's newly released song was featured previously in one of the clips of her drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. The song is IU's gift for her fans who attended her 8th Anniversary Fan Meeting held at The K Art Hall in Seoul, South Korea. IU sang the song live in front of her fans and she gave all the attendees a copy of her song for her fans to enjoy her new song.
Since the release of her song "23" last year, IU has not made a comeback yet. However, her fans are thankful for her gift to them.
