Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun Complete New Series ‘Goblin’ First Meeting
Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun and other cast members finished the first script reading for new series "Goblin."
"Goblin" is the new creation of writer Kim Eun-sook who brought the drama hit "Descendents of the Sun." The casts of the fantasy drama spent four hours going over the texts of the story. Reports have already confirmed the drama's plot, timeslot and leading stars.
The story evolves in a relationship between a Goblin and a Reaper living together. Critics say that the plot is somehow similar with TVN's supernatural shows with a story about an exorcist and a gnost.
The Goblin also called the Protector requires a human bride to halt his immortality. The reason why the lead character wants to end his life has not been revealed yet. Meanwhile, the Reaper also known as the Taker suffers from amnesia. The destined meeting of the two lead characters is considered a curse.
It is speculated that shooting will start on Sept. 8 in Canada.
Critics also presume that since this is Kim Eun-sook's masterpiece, viewers can expect romance and comedy. Kim will work with Lee Eung Bok in writing the story.
On the other hand, "Train to Busan" star said that he is looking forward to working with his co-stars. He added that he hopes to enjoy the set the way he did in "Coffee Prince."
In his interview with Soompi he said "Everyone in 'Coffee Prince' wanted each other to do well. No one was selfish, and it was a set where we all had fun. That kind of atmosphere is hard to come by, and to have experienced it as an actor, I am very thankful. I hope [the 'Goblin' set] is the same,"
Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na and Sungjae of BTOB are also part of the drama, All Kpop reported.
Goblin will start airing on November every Fridays and Saturdays.
