Bigbang Withdraws from VIP Concert in Taiwan; Parents Complaints Identified as Reason for Cancellation

TOP will not join Bigbang on their MADE VIP tour.

Korean group, Bigbang cancelled their MADE VIP Tour in Taiwan due to complaints coming from fans' parents.

A local report from the country affirmed that the quintet will no longer meet their fans on Sept. 10 due to parents' disapprovals and complaints. According to the report, parents of Bigbang fans do not approve the tour on the said date because there is a big chance for students to take absence or early out from their classes to see the boys perform.

Parents are strict with their children now because of the nearly coming Mid Autumn Festival or Chuseok where students are required to take make-up lessons.

However, YG Entertainment released a statement saying, "since there has been no confirmation for the added dates, it was not right to announce it as cancelled," Koreaboo cited.

Two fan meetings are set on the said date but IMEtv, organizers of the event already cancelled the afternoon slot. Further, refunds were also issued to those who bought events ticket for the 2 P.M slot.

Bigbang added Taiwan to its list of countries for MADE VIP Concert. They are scheduled to visit the nation on Sept. 9 to 11. So far, cancellation reports only included the Sept. 10 afternoon slot, All Kpop reported.

Only four boys including G-dragon, Seungri, Taeyang and Daesung will be there to connect with fans. Oldest member, TOP already expressed his apology for his absence due to his busy schedule.

The Kings of Kpop will fly to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore next month for another set of fan meet events.

Bigbang remains busy with activities related to their 10th Anniversary. Last month, they concluded an Anniversary concert in Seoul that gathered thousands of local and international fans. They also have an exhibition in their home country to share to the public the stories behind the band's history.
