Block B's Zico Reveals His Thoughts on His Dating News with AOA's Seolhyun
On the August 31 episode of MBC's "Radio Star," rappers Zico, Simon D., Gray, and actress Lee Sun Bin were featured as guest artists.
Following the confirmation of his dating news with AOA's Seolhyun, Block B's Zico was bombarded with questions regarding his relationship with the singer-actress.
Allkpop reported that while on the show, the MCs asked the rapper on how his love story with Seolhyun started and Zico replied saying, "We were just acquaintances but we started carefully contacting each other. I just grew interested in her without any specific reason, and that is how we slowly developed our relationship and started seeing each other."
Simon D then asked the young rapper, "Aren't you showing interest when you send a text message? Did you play hard to get?"
Flustered, the Block B leader replied, "I am not the type to play hard to get. I can't read text messages when I am working. So I read them when I am done with work. I think I have to be very careful no matter what I do."
MC Yoon Jong Shin also asked, "Did the dating news break without you expecting it at all? There are instances when the reporting agency will contact you first and say, 'We have confirmed this news and are going to publish it.'"
The idol replied, "I did not directly receive a call [regarding the dating news] but everyone around me knew about it. They said to me, 'You were caught on camera,' so I felt shocked that the news broke suddenly even though I knew it would be leaked one of these days."
MC Yoon Jong Shin then asked a follow-up question, "As you are talking, I can tell that you are being a lot more cautious than usual. Do you have a specific reason for that?"
Zico, showing consideration toward Seolhyun said, "A public relationship could be harder on the woman so I think it is only right for me to be more careful with everything that I do."
He then jokingly asked the Radio Star panelists in connection to him being invited as a guest immediately after his dating news, "Are you sure you and Dispatch don't have a special relationship?"
