26 years old American Josh Bowmar is facing the possibility of jail time after cruelly impaling a Canadian bear with a spear for fun and uploading a video of himself rejoicing over the poor animal's death in youtube.

International Outrage

Bowmar has received hundreds of death threats and international condemnation for his cruelty and idiocy. He is reported to have reduced his time using social media afraid of the global outrage he has caused.

Jail Time

Citizens all over the globe are apparently looking forward that Bowman be imprisoned for charges of cruelty to animals.

Kyle Ferguson, spokesman of the Environment Ministry, is demanding the Fish and Wildlife officers of Alberta to swiftly conduct an investigation to find out ways to criminally charge Bowmar under existing Canadian laws.

Ban on Spearhunting

Spear hunting is legal in some cities in Canada but an unspoken rule exists not to use it on bears or large mammals.

Government officials in Alberta Canada, where the tragic incident took place, are attempting to draft legislation to entirely ban spear hunting and impose a heavy penalty to ward off imbeciles like Bowmar from committing the same acts of cruelty.

Inhumane Actions

Wayne Pacelle, CEO of the Humane Society, condemned Bowmar in a blog entry stating that  "Bowmar is so deeply disconnected from the suffering of an innocent creature that he felt free to yell and prance with joy as life was spilling out of this innocent animal."

According to an Associated Press report Bowmar said: " It's extremely frustrating to me. I didn't do anything illegal. The bear died very humanely. The truth is I honestly care more about animals and hunting than anybody could."
