Son Yeon-jae, a South Korea rhythmic gymnast, has begun training in Brazil for the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. Son is hoping to become the first rhythmic gymnast to win a gold medal for South Korea.

Son has begun working out with the Russian national team in Sao Paulo, Yonhap News reports. The Olympics officially begins on Friday, but the rhythmic gymnastics segment will launch on August 19.

Son is no stranger to the Olympics. The gymnast finished in 5th place in the individual all-around at the 2012 London Olympics. She also won 17 medals at the 2016 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup. And she currently ranks No. 5 in the world.

Fans are looking forward to see if Son will make history in Rio.
