Lee Min-ho Not Required to Serve in Active Military Service
Actor Lee Min-ho will not be required to participate in active military service, MYM Entertainment, reported. His agency added that Lee "will serve as a public service officer regardless of when he decides to begin his military service. We are looking at early next year."
The exemption to active military service in South Korea comes due to his health. Lee was involved in a serious car accident in 2006 that required screws to be included into his knee. The actor was involved in another accident in 2011 while filming the drama "City Hunter."
As a result, Lee was allowed to serve as a public service officer when his military service officially begins.
"I have not decided exactly when I will start my military service," Lee said in April during a Chinese interview. A report from Soompi suggests that there is an upcoming SBS drama with Park Ji Eun that will likely be his last project before heading to the military. His film "Bounty Hunters" will premiere soon.
