Blake Shelton announced that parts of his latest album describe his life with former wife Miranda Lambert as well as his current girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
According to "The Voice" judge, his latest single "Came Here to Forget" details his first encounters with the No Doubt vocalist after his divorce with his ex-wife, ET Online reported.
The album reportedly "tackle his divorce and new romance with Stefani."
"I can put my life experience, whether it's a divorce or my new girlfriend, whatever those experiences are, whatever things that are happening in my life, I have an outlet for them," he was quoted as saying in the article.
Blake Shelton's girlfriend Gwen Stefani gushed about the new track all over the Internet, posting a snapchat of herself fangirling over the new video as well as exchanging tweets with "American Idol" alum Kelly Clarkson.
The ET Online article said that Clarkson endorsed Shelton's own tweet about his single, saying"It's SO good."
That tweet was met with agreement with Stefani's own post, saying "Sooooooooooo good #newmusic #gottohearitfirst #lucky."
Life and Style, meanwhile, repeated that "Came Here to Forget" was obviously about Blake Shelton's girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
The site quoted Shelton as saying that the track was "one of his most personal tunes ever!"
The 39-year-old "The Voice" judge was reportedly excited about the new single.
"I've had a lot of music over the years, but I don't think I've ever had a song before that's such a direct look into my life," he was quoted as saying.
The song was reportedly "an intimate snapshot of a couple's encounter at a bar."
Perez Hilton, meanwhile, noted how adorable the couple was, with Gwen Stefani Snapchatting Blake Shelton.
Us Weekly, on the other hand, said Blake Shelton found a no. 1 fan in his girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
Stefani was spotted singing along to the songs during one of his shows while singing along to the lyrics of "God gave me you for the ups and downs."
Not only that, "At the end of the song, the country singer hopped off the stage to give Stefani a big kiss."
