One Million Moms Just Won't Give Up On 'Lucifer' TV Series New Petition Finds Title Character Irresistible

"Lucifer" TV series is having a hard time in ratings game but viewership is not the only the enemy that it is battling.

The Fox show has been subjected to a campaign for cancellation by conservative and religious group One Million Moms. Apparently, the group's campaign to have "Lucifer" TV series dropped did not succeed. But they will not give up.

In their latest petition, they think Lucifer Morningstar, played by Tom Ellis, is being made irresistible to women with his good looks. Therefore, the show is dangerous to women.

"FOX's new drama "Lucifer" is spiritually dangerous," One Million Moms wrote in its website. "The new program "Lucifer" glorifies Satan as a caring, likable person in the human flesh. The character Lucifer Morningstar makes being the devil look cool and irresistible to women. "Lucifer" airs on Monday evenings at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT with a 14-DLSV rating."

They also think "Lucifer" TV series is also confusing viewers about how good and evil is portrayed, particularly when the main character said he is just being forced to do bad things by his father, meaning God.

"The program included graphic acts of violence, a nightclub featuring scantily-clad women, and a demon. The message of the show is clear. Lucifer is just misunderstood. He doesn't want to be a bad guy, it's God who is forcing him to play that role."

The first petitions from One Million Moms obviously failed. Among these are a signature campaign to get Fox to drop the DC-based TV series, the call to boycott businesses supporting the show, and more.

If "Lucifer" TV series gets taken out, it might not be because of the petition from One Million Moms. It is because of the ratings. The show debut with 7.16 million viewers but the numbers have since declined. In fact, it never recorded an increase ever since its pilot. The latest one only attracted 3.91 million viewers.
