At the rate in which MacBook Pro 2016 rumors are swirling across cyberspace, Apple fans are hoping that these speculations regarding the device's specs and release date turn out to be accurate.

For instance, with the recent price cut made by Amazon on the 15-inch 2015 MacBook Pro model, the notebook's latest iteration could come much sooner than expected, according to the Ecumenical News.

The giant retailer slashed the price of the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro - equipped with 2.5 GHz processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB hard drive -from its original price of $2,499 to only $1,949.99.

Other recent MacBook Pro 2016 rumors suggest that the highly-anticipated notebook will feature a 12-inch Retina display in 2304 x 1440 pixels resolution.

Moreover, the latest MacBook Pro model will reportedly include a touch screen display, weigh 2 lbs. and is 13.1mm-thin. The unit may even come in several colors: silver, gold, and space gray.

But what is creating a major buzz among Apple's followers is the possibility that the new MacBook Pro model's specs could include OLED displays, reported Digital Trends.

The tech site pointed out that so far, only a handful of devices use the cutting-edge display due to its high cost.

However, Apple just might decide to avail of the technology whose "introduction would make waves."

The company may also decide to include the display as an optional extra, or only appear in one or two MacBook Pro models.

Apple followers are also excited with MacBook Pro 2016 rumors hinting that the next-generation laptop would utilize the Skylake chips.

If the Cupertino-based company decides to proceed with this specs enhancement, the laptop's battery life is expected to significantly improve.

The  Skylake chips also includes more powerful integrated graphics, which would enable the MacBook Pro to handle 4K output.
