Is Jeremy Lin NBA's 2016 Best Player Off The Bench? ‘Linsanity’ Praying For Charlotte Hornets Teammates?
The Chinese-American point guard of Charlotte Hornets has been capturing the NBA league and worldwide fan's attention as one of the basketball players who can be remembered for his very good scoring runs in his games. Though some are doubting how Jeremy Lin play since he graduated from Harvard University, several reports declared that 'Linsanity' has proven himself and could be named as NBA's Sixth Man of the Year.
As Charlotte Hornets is being reported of having one of their best plays this season, fingers are pointing at Lin as one of the key players of its team by scoring 19 points or more for seven times already, setting Hornets in 6-1 standing on those games.
"The 27-year-old has put up 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists over 26.9 minutes per game in 50 appearances this season, providing Charlotte a solid back-up floor general capable of helping the offense flow while leading scorer and point guard Kemba Walker receives well-needed breathers night after night," International Business Times reported.
"Lin does have some serious competition to overcome, but his numbers and the Hornets success so far this season make him a serious threat to be named the NBA's best player off the bench," the source added.
Meanwhile, Christian Post shared that Jeremy Lin is asking his fans to pray for his health and for his team. He is also committed in praying for some of his peers who's having difficulties in giving time to God.
"Please pray for our team that the Holy Spirit would soften the hearts of my non-believing teammates and to sanctify the lives of the believers," Lin wrote in an email sent to his digital prayer group last year, noted by the source above.
"Also that our Bible study would grow in vulnerability, accountability, and community," he added.
For six years now, Jeremy Lin had played for five teams. With the help of his improbable scoring, his current team Charlotte Hornets is becoming a threat in this NBA league season as they've won against the top seeds in the East already, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors, and Atlanta Hawks.
