TWICE Billboard 200 Record: K-Pop Girl Group Charts 10th Album, 'The Feels' Hits 500M Views
In a landmark achievement for K-pop, TWICE has written their name in music history as the first female K-pop act to place ten albums on the Billboard 200. The milestone arrived with their anniversary special album TEN: The Story Goes On, which debuted at No. 11 on the chart dated October 25, 2024.
Record-Breaking Chart Performance
The October 10 release commemorates TWICE's decade in the industry since their debut on October 20, 2015. Beyond their historic tenth Billboard 200 entry, the group achieved another first by simultaneously charting two albums-TEN: The Story Goes On at No. 11 and their July release THIS IS FOR at No. 117, marking that album's 14th consecutive week on the chart.
TEN: The Story Goes On also secured the No. 2 position on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart, making it the week's second-bestselling album in the United States.
Hot 100 Longevity and YouTube Milestone
TWICE's chart presence extends beyond albums. Three members-Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung-contributed "TAKEDOWN" to Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, which has maintained a 15-week run on the Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, "Strategy" from their 14th mini-album has charted for 13 consecutive weeks.
On October 21, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m. KST, TWICE's first English single "The Feels" surpassed 500 million YouTube views. Released on October 1, 2021, the disco-pop track reached the milestone in just over four years, becoming the group's ninth music video to achieve this feat. The eight others are "TT," "LIKEY," "What is Love?", "FANCY," "CHEER UP," "I CAN'T STOP ME," "Feel Special," and "Like OOH-AHH"-a collection unmatched by any other K-pop female act.
Ten Years of Industry Dominance
Formed through JYP Entertainment's 2015 reality show Sixteen, the nine-member group consists of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. Their Billboard 200 catalog now includes MORE & MORE, Eyes Wide Open, Taste of Love, Formula of Love: O+T=<3, BETWEEN 1&2, READY TO BE, With YOU-th, Strategy, THIS IS FOR, and TEN: The Story Goes On.
The group achieved their first Billboard 200 No. 1 with With YOU-th in February 2024, nearly nine years after their debut.
Global Tour Continues
TWICE is currently executing their largest world tour, THIS IS FOR, spanning 73 concerts across 43 cities. The tour will continue through 2026, bringing their decade-defining performances to audiences across Asia, North America, and Europe.
With ten Billboard 200 entries, nine 500-million-view music videos, and sustained chart performance across multiple metrics, TWICE has established benchmarks that define success for K-pop girl groups in the global market.
