Jimmy Fallon Getting Suspended For His Alcoholic Rumors? NBC Exec On Board With Idea?

Stephen Colbert Taking Advantage Of Jimmy Fallon's Alcoholic Problems In Ratings Race?

Are Jimmy Fallon's alcoholic rumors endangering his spot on the highly-rated late night talk show?

Previous rumors suggested that he could be facing suspension because of the recent rumors surrounding his supposed taste for partying and drinking.

The late night show host was even called a "high-functioning alcoholic" by a former colleague.

Former "Saturday Night Live" co-host Horatio Sanz previously implied that Fallon could be dealing with more than his rumored alcohol addiction.

"They say that kind of goes hand in hand with SNL," Vulture quoted him as saying. "Some kind of substance-abuse issues, because it's so stressful you easily find yourself blowing off steam a lot."

Nevertheless, "The Late Night Show" is still number one in the late night show ratings battle.

According to TV By Numbers, the show pulled in an audience of 3.09 million adult viewers. This is a significant lead over Jimmy Kimmel's 2.46 million.

With such great numbers, it's highly unlikely that NBC would be suspending the host.

NBC boss Bob Greenbelt adamantly dismissed the news that Jimmy Fallon is indulging in too many alcoholic drinks.

"He goes out and has fun," Greenbelt said. "He's had some accidents. Aside from that, he's in better shape than he's ever been."

Although there were a lot of rumors about Chelsea Handler being groomed to take over "The Late Night Show" spot should Fallon be suspended, the NBC executive believed that there wasn't a chance for this to happen.

He even implied that Fallon could become a legend in the industry.

"Jimmy will be with us for years to come," Greenblatt insisted. "Perhaps long after I leave NBC and some of you leave your jobs."

Will Jimmy Fallon's alcoholic issues continue to plague him or will this completely end in the next couple of years?
