Courtney Lee's Entry Into Charlotte Hornets Drives Jeremy Lin Out Of Team? Is This The End Of Linsanity?
Courtney Lee's foray into a three-way deal might not be a good idea to the Linsanity-strapped Charlotte Hornets with Jeremy Lin driven further into the sidelines, according to a report.
According to Sportige.com, Jeremy Lin will likely opt out of his two-year contract with the Hornets at the end of the season..
"Why does he opt out? The Hornets need to do what they think is best for them in order to make the playoffs and achieve their goals. But it is once again shown that building on Lin isn't part of their plan," the site said.
The Charlotte Observer noted that "Lee is averaging 10 points per game this season and will add to the Hornets' 3-point shooting. He's making 37 percent of his shots from outside the 3-point arc this season."
But what about Jeremy Lin? The point guard has given fans a glimpse of old school Linsanity in several games, including an earlier one between the Charlotte Hornets and his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Now, with the updated lineup, it has been theorized that Lin's playing time will be limited to 25 minutes despite analysts asking for more of the Linsanity on the court.
"He's not a ball handler or someone who runs an offense, but this once again limits Lin's minutes at 25, more or less," Sportige wrote.
"It might give Lin a bit more time as an actual point guard which is good news because at this point, his minutes without Walker on the floor next to him are his most precious commodity to build up a case for a big contract next season, when he opts out of this two year deal."
Youth Health Mag said that Charlotte Hornets player Jeremy Lin seemed to have lost confidence in himself being the Linsanity.
"Right now Jeremy doesn't seem to trust his shot anymore," according to Doc Scheppler, as quoted by Youth Health Mag.
