‘Fashion Police’ Cast To Include Wendy Williams? Host Admits Getting Offer From Melissa Rivers
The cast of "Fashion Police" might soon include Wendy Williams. According to a report from New York Post, the outspoken talk show host admitted that Melissa Rivers asked her to be part of the hit fashion critique show.
The 51-year-old TV personality was reportedly approached by the 47-year-old "Fashion Police" panelist and executive producer. However, Wendy Williams said she turned down the offer due to location concerns.
"Melissa [Rivers] had asked me about 'Fashion Police,' personally, but the problem is we're live out of New York," she explained. "I can't be flying back and forth [to Los Angeles]."
"I don't want phlebitis or spider veins. I have enough going on. Too much flying. I couldn't do it," she added.
The decision of Wendy Williams to turn down Melissa Rivers' offer was announced amid rumors that "Fashion Police" cast members are allegedly feuding over the show's increasing ratings. Radar Online revealed that there is a "huge power struggle going on" ever since ratings improved with the arrival of Margaret Cho and NeNe Leakes as new hosts.
Because of the show's significant improvements, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star has allegedly gotten too egotistic and wants the focus to be on her.
"NeNe has really just been trying to steal the spotlight lately and because she has such a strong personality," an insider claimed. "It is making filming really difficult."
"It has gotten to the point that Melissa has had to delegate increments of time that limit when each panelist is allowed to speak!" the insider added.
Just recently, People also announced that "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" momager Kris Jenner will join the "Fashion Police" cast.
However, the report clarified that the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch will only be a guest panelist for the show's New York Fashion Week special, which will feature exclusive content from the clothing line launch of Kris Jenner's daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
