NBA Trade Rumor: Kevin Love Injured But Will Keep Playing; Cleveland Cavaliers To Let Go? Shakeup Seen
Amid all the NBA trade rumors surrounding Kevin Love, the Cleveland Cavaliers player said he would not be missing the next match-up despite his injury at last Wednesday's game.
"Love turned toward Cleveland's bench and said 'it's my shoulder' before heading straight to the locker room for treatment. Love's left arm hung limply to his side as he exited," NBA.com said.
The news comes amid rumors that Love will be leaving the Cavaliers to find greener pastures elsewhere, Bleacher Report said.
The article said that the player has not been the same since his move from the Minnesota Timberwolves back in 2014.
"The three-time All Star went from putting up 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game for the T'Wolves in 2013-14 to 15.7 points and 10.3 boards per contest in 51 games for Cleveland this season," according to the article.
Currently, Cleveland Cavaliers are standing at 38 wins and 14 losses, ahead by three games over the Toronto Raptors.
The Inquisitr echoed the NBA trade rumors, saying that Love could leave Cleveland Cavaliers "just two-thirds of the first season into a multi-year contract signed during the offseason."
The site called the shakeup necessary and that it "makes sense."
"Former Cavaliers' coach David Blatt had a preference for the Princeton style of offense. New head coach Tyronn Lue wants the Cavs to run an up-tempo offense," the Inquisitr article said.
According to the site, Cleveland would have done better had they hired Andrew Wiggins instead.
"Under the tutelage of LeBron James, Wiggins could have developed into a solid NBA defender as his offensive game grew," the Inquisitr added.
However, LeBron James denied the NBA trade rumors about Cleveland Cavaliers getting Carmelo Anthony to replace Love.
"It's false. That's the only thing, I can look at it and say it's false. And that's the last thing I was worrying about right now, and that's trade talks for our team."
Rant Sports said that the team is rumored to likely unload Love from the NBA team despite Cavs GM David Griffith saying earlier that the player would not be traded during this season.
