Michael Fassbender and his girlfriend Alicia Vikander have been gaining the media's attention with their romance.
Are the couple's outright affection for each other also a promotion for their new drama, "Light Between Oceans?"
According to Variety, the new film is getting a September date for its US release, which is reportedly just in time for the next awards season.
Dreamworks reportedly secured the rights to turn M.L. Stedman's debut novel in 2012.
The film will also be produced by "Harry Potter" producer David Heyman and Jeffery Clifford with Derek Cianfance helming. Rachel Weisz will also join the pair.
According to Kpopstarz, "Light Between Oceans" seems to be a very memorable film for Michael Fassbender and his girlfriend Alicia Vikander. They reportedly fell for each other while working together on the movie set.
They have since been seen in public holding hands and looking very loved up since they started filming.
Although they were rumored to have broken up last year, the couple cleared the speculations by sitting together during the Golden Globe Awards.
They were also spotted holding hands while waiting for their car after one of the awards show's after-parties.
"The Danish Girl" also shared what she felt about the rumors of their breakup in a previous report by The Independent.
"I always believed there must be some truth to the stuff you read - but I learned," she previously told the publication.
Michael Fassbender and his girlfriend Alicia Vikander aren't the only ones who ended up together after shooting a film. Some even used their romance to promote the film that they are in together.
However, the pair doesn't really need to use their relationship for propaganda. Both actors are already famous for their respective roles in the movies that they are a part of.
Fassbender is making a name for himself for "Steve Jobs," while Vikander is also becoming more popular with her role as a devoted wife in "The Danish Girl."
Although "The Testament Of Youth" star attended the SAG Awards, they will hopefully be seen together on the red carpet as the awards season continues.
