Fans and gamers alike have been dragged to the depths of the rumor mill when it came to Valve's widely anticipated first person shooting video game "Half Life 3" and its highly speculated release date.

As such, more and more rumors have sprung up regarding leakages of the game's proof of development and/or the sad possibility that the game might be at risk of even being released soon.

It was recently reported that there was a proof that "Half Life 3" will indeed be having a release date as the game is currently under works after it was leaked via Reddit where a user posted a photo of a blurry photo of a Valve id as proof of such, as stated by Parent Herald.

The Reddit user who posted the leak went on to address whether "Half Life 3" will be having a release date and as to when.

"I'm not entirely sure when Valve is ready to unveil anything relating to 'Half-Life 3' or if they are even going to in a traditional manner (from what I know there is 0 marketing being worked on), but the game is nearing completion," the user wrote. "Well, sort of. It's complicated."

The Reddit post went further to end the leaked "Half Life 3" release date leakage by saying that the game might be released sometime in the same year as the post was made.

"The product may release this year, the biggest factor that I've heard is marketability," it stated. "Not for Half-Life 3 to be a commercial success, but for one that doesn't hurt others' sales. Of course, we might need to add more work to the product and engine. But I hope you understand why it has taken us so long."

However, this leak was later on debunked and removed by the forum's administrators and that it was most likely a hoax.
