'How To Train Your Dragon 3' Spoilers Revealed? Cate Blanchett Talks About Sequel Details

With the release date all set two years from now, fans can't help but ask about "How to Train Your Dragon 3" spoilers.

While details have remained scarce, a previous interview of director Dean DeBlois may have revealed possible spoilers for the upcoming third sequel to the dragon-themed animation movie.

Apparently, "How to Train Your Dragon 3" will see main characters, Toothless and Hiccup, continue their lives now that they're both adults.

"'How to Train Your Dragon 3′ is the culmination of Hiccup's coming of age," DeBlois explained.

"Both he and Toothless are now chiefs of their respective tribes, and it's a dueling story where you have both characters trying to do what's right for their kind and an eventual outcome where Hiccup is able to stand on his own. We're gonna take the story to where the books begin, which is Hiccup as an adult reflecting back on a time where there were dragons, suggesting that the dragons will in some way go away. Why and could they come back and the mystery of what all that is will be saved for the actual story."

And while DeBlois no longer eloborated on the details, fans could help but wonder if the upcoming "How to Train Your Dragon 3" plot will feature a conflict between Hiccup and his dragon friend Toothless.

As fans try to gather more possible spoilers, Academy award winner Cate Blanchett on the other hand, shared her experience in filming the animated movie.

"He just walked up to me and said, 'I've written a part for you,'" Cate Blanchett shared to Variety.

"I thought, 'Yeah, that is such a line...!' But he had. He said she was a Jane Goodall-type of character who had spent her life with dragons. I loved the first film and had watched it about nine times with my boys. So my curiosity was piqued, and I thought, 'How will they top that?'" Blanchett recalled as to how director Dean DeBlois approached her for a role in the second sequel.

And while many are excited to see the upcoming film, Blanchett revealed that it took three years just to film her character, Valka.

"We met every six months or so," she revealed. You go in and chip away at it for three years, as the animation evolves, and there were little shifts and changes in the story."

"How to Train Your Dragon 3" release date was once again pushed back to June 29, 2018 from its prior release of June 9, 2017 two years following its original schedule of June 17, 2016.
