Did Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen Turn Down 'Fuller House' Because Of Money? Actors Paid 10x More?

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen turned down "Fuller House" because of money?

Fans are anticipating the premier of "Fuller House" on Netflix, Feb. 26, despite the fact that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen turned down the chance to reprise the role of Michelle Tanner in the "Full House" reboot.

Since Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are all grown-up (and running a billion-dollar fashion empire), new child actors are joining "Fuller House" and they're reportedly being paid ten times more than the Olsen twins! Could this be the reason why they turned down the show?

According to TMZ, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were paid $1,650 per episode when "Full House" debuted in 1987. Today, child actors Sonia Bringas, Michael Campion and Elias Hanger are reportedly being paid a minimum of $10,000 per episode of "Fuller House."

"14-year-old Sonia Bringas, who plays Kimmy Gibbler's daughter Ramona, will rake in $15k an episode ... this according to her minor's contract," TMZ reported. "Michael Campion, also 14, who plays D.J. Tanner's son, will make $12k an episode. And 9-year-old Elias Harger, who plays D.J.'s other son, cashes in with $10k an episode."

But it seems that money isn't the reason Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are skipping "Fuller House" though, especially since their reported net worth in 2014 was an estimated $300 million each.

A few weeks ago, "Fuller House's" producer, Bob Boyett revealed that the Olsen twins didn't want to join the reboot because they were "uncomfortable."

"Ashley said, 'I have not been in front of a camera since I was 17 and I don't feel comfortable acting,'" Bob Boyett told People Magazine. "Mary-Kate said, 'It would have to be me because Ash doesn't want to do it. But the timing is so bad for us.'"

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are currently running their fashion lines, "The Row" and "Elizabeth and James" in New York. They haven't appeared in any film or TV project together since "New York Minute" in 2004.
