Initially scheduled on Dec. 23, the court date for Kim Hyung Joong's lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, identified as Choi, was moved to Feb. 3. However, reports revealed that the court date was once again postponed and is now scheduled for Mar. 18, Kdrama Stars noted Friday.

The legal battle between the two started in 2014 when Choi accused Kim of physical abuse. She filed four charges of abuse against the 29-year-old singer-actor. The two parties were able to settle the issue and reunite temporarily before they broke up again on the same year.

Soompi reported on Jan. 8 that Choi once again filed a lawsuit against Kim in 2015 for alleged charges of physical abuse. She added that she got pregnant in 2014 but suffered a miscarriage due to Kim's physical violence towards her. Choi reportedly charged the South Korean singer-actor for about $13 million in damages.

In response to Choi's complaint, Kim filed a countersuit against his ex-girlfriend for slander. He sued Choi for about $10.5 million for allegedly damaging his reputation.

On the same year, Choi suggested Kim to undergo a paternity test for the child she was carrying.

A DNA test result in December confirmed that the South Korean singer-actor is 99.9 percent likely to be the father of Choi's child. The child was born in September 2015. According to his lawyer, Kim is willing to take full responsibility for the newborn child. Despite this, the South Korean singer-actor reportedly has no plans of dropping the lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend.

"We've made it clear that Kim Hyun Joong will take responsibility of the child," Attorney Lee Jae Man told TV Daily. "We've made it clear that Kim Hyun Joong will take responsibility of the child."

The court date in March will be the first confrontation between the two parties since the test result was revealed. Kim has not seen the newborn child since the singer-actor entered the military in May 2015.
