Netflix 'Wayward Pines' Cast: Jason Patric To Play Surgeon In Season 2, Is He The Next Ethan Burke?
The highly anticipated psychological thriller TV series "Wayward Pines" will be coming back for season 2 in summer. The audience have been left with cliffhangers when Ethan Burke died in the finale of the TV series. Jason Patric is reportedly heading to "Wayward Pines" season 2.
Fox's thriller series will be returning with 10 new physchological TV series once more but will Matt Dillon's Ethan Burke character be back in "Wayward Pines" season 2 when viewers saw him dead?
The first season has been led by Matt Dillon where he died along with a few main characters of the show which left fans hanging after Fox announced the show's renewal.
"The second season will pick up in the wake of Season One, when a new arrival in Wayward Pines finds himself in the middle of a serious rebellion, as the residents battle over how to preserve the endangered human race," Fox wrote in a post.
According to new reports, Jason Patric will be added to the casting of "Wayward Pines" season 2. "The Lost Boys" actor will be playing the role of a confident and driven surgeon named Dr. Theo Yedlin.
"Jason is an incredibly grounded and believable actor. I'm so excited for audiences to see what he brings to the world of 'Wayward Pines,'" Shyamalan said, Ecumenical news reported.
Patric has also starred in "Rush" and "Narc." He has also worked on "The Yellow Birds" together with Jennifer Aniston and Toni Collette.
Reports claimed that Patric will be playing a big part in the second season of the show.
According to Variety, season 2 will be picking up the story where it has been left off. The residents of Wayward Pines will continue to battle against the iron-fisted rules of the First Generation.
Ecumenical news revealed that the President of Fox Entertainment David Madden said the second season of "Wayward Pines" will be more thrilling than the first one.
"Season Two is going to take the suspense, the vision of the future and the haunting character drama to whole new levels, and we can't wait for our fans to continue that ride next year," he said in an interview, Fox reported.
