Wes Ball Still To Direct ‘‘The Maze Runner: Death Cure’; Author James Dashner Happy That Movie Will End With One Film Only

"It's the end of the line." - An excerpt from the book which best describes the last part of "The Maze Runner: Death Cure" movie as it will be ending with just one film.

According to Variety, Wes Ball has already confirmed that he's returning to direct the third and last installment of the movie.

According to Ball, his goal is to create the trilogy film adaptations more awesome.

"Not many people have done that and now I have the opportunity to do that. I am directing the third film and we've already been busy preparing and working on the final conclusion of this saga," he added.

He promised the book's fans that he will give justice to it, providing clear beginning, middle and ending.

"I'm glad that I can finish the series. I'm lucky and thankful that they asked me to direct all three films. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to do it or not, but honestly, it was the cast that I wanted to work with again. They are such great people," Ball expressed during an interview.

Meanwhile, the young adult book's author James Dashner is reportedly ecstatic about the film not being split into two films like other trilogy-books-turned-movies.

"I am 100 percent extremely ecstatic and happy about that decision. I think from the very first time I met with Wes, he talked about not wanting to split it into two," Dashner expressed.

He added that it was for him by far the wisest decision about the movie.

"I think we've gotten a lot of street cred with people kind of relieved that we didn't just go for the cash grab. But I think it will make a very solid movie, and I think the decision will pay off with a quality film that the fans will be happy about," said by the author.

Before the fans become happy about the final movie, they need to wait until "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure" hits theatres on February 17, 2017.
