NBC Executives Concerned About 'Tonight Show' Host Jimmy Fallon's Alleged Drinking Problem?

"The Tonight Show" has hit its strides in terms of ratings, but host Jimmy Fallon has been the subject of a nasty rumor about an uncontrollable drinking problem that already affected his work.

The rumors about the 41-year-old television personality has a pretty bad drinking problem was first triggered following Jimmy Fallon's frequent accidents last year.

Previous reports claimed that he obtained his minor hand injury while attending a Harvard event in late October last year, according to Food World News.

As the rumors continue to spread on the Internet, some tabloids have jumped on the issue as they blasted his out-of-control drinking habit as the main reason for his marriage troubles with Nancy Jovonen.

The issue reportedly has come up to the attention of NBC Entertainment.

When the network was asked regarding the insurance policy given to Jimmy Fallon's frequent accidents, NBC Entertainment's television exec Robert Greenblatt told Hollywood Reporter, "Jimmy is going to be fine for many years to come. I often say Jimmy is going to be there longer than me and longer than many of you in your jobs."

Greenblatt was then asked about Jimmy Fallon's alleged drinking problem and responded, "We are always worried about his safety and health and yeah, there's been conversations about that, the stories are exaggerated about all of it."

Amid the controversy, the ratings of "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon have remained consistently high since last year.

In fact, the show reportedly obtained another spike in the ratings in late January alongside its competitors "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "The Late Late Show," and "Late Night."

As noted by TV By Numbers, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" rose 0.05 (0.98 to 1.03), and "Late Night" ticked up by .02 (0.5 to 0.52)."

Jimmy Fallon became the sixth host of the hit long-running talk show "The Tonight Show" in 2014. None of the rumors about his drinking problem have been confirmed, and the comedian has never commented on the issue.
